This elegantly produced edition showcases Allyson Vieira's drawings and writing on the formal and ideological connections between Periclean Greece, the American and French Revolutions and twentieth century Minimalism. Using a palette of blue, red, and white, the works constellate around a common center that includes Euclid, Pericles, and Athena Polias.
Allyson Vieira studied at Cooper Union in New York City and is currently a Masters candidate at Bard. A selection of work in this book appeared in a solo show at small a projects in Portland, Oregon in the spring of 2006. Read a review. Vieira has been included in several group exhibitions including "Freedom Salon" at Deitch Projects. She completed a collaborative project at the Athens Biennial in Greece in September 2007.
